Biography

1700 - East Greewich -Proprietor (Lot 39)

May 4, 1700 - He was summoned with others by the Assembly to appear in court and answer the charge of being engaged in a riot.

1720 - East Greenwich. Freeman


January 14, 1725 - He took administration on estate of his son Robert


1728 - Captain


1728-29 - Deputy


February 1736 - He was to have £20 paid him by order of the Assembly, on completion of a bridge over the Pawtuxet river in the road from East Greenwich to Plainfield.


January 8, 1740 - He was voted £9 by the Assembly for time and expense, in revising and renewing the boundary line between this Colony and Connecticut, he attending the committee at their request.


January 27 1741 - He was appointed on the committee to examine whether the boundary marks between Rhode Island and Connecticut at or newar south-west corner of Warwick Purchase be removed.


March 1748 - He was allowed £6 for services on committee that revised boundaries at Warwick.

Enter a personal reminiscence or story.
On the 22nd April, 1700, a court of enquiry was held in Kingstown, in consequence of a riot whcih had taken place there, and the forcibly rescuing a prisoner from the Deputy Sheriff. ....Ishmael Spink...were also fined, &c., but the execution of the sentence was suspended by the assembly, on their recognizing to appear at the next General Court of Tryals.
