After Sep 1918: Reason probably married Hattie Jane Spires, daughter of Thomas H Spires and Letha Boutin (maybe a cousin?) at about the age of 19. His WWI draft registration notes his nearest relative as his father, D.J. Spires, at age 18. The 1920 census records says he was married at age 19.
Reason and Hattie had the following children:
1. Bessie L Spires (b. abt 1909 - d. unk) NOTE: the 1920 lists Bessie as 11 years, b. abt 1909, and as the daughter of Reason and Hattie, but that would have meant she was born when Hattie and Reason were 9 and 10 years old, and apparently before they were married. She could possibly be a sister, a niece or a cousin.
