John Spitty was baptized on the 13 Dec 1754 in Horndon on the Hill.[1]

He was married to Anna CURTIS by Licence on 18 Jul 1776 in Horndon-on-the-Hill.[2][3]

The marriage entry in the Horndon-on-the-Hill Parish Register records Anna as being from the Parish of West Thurroch.
The marriage was by Licence which reads as follows :-
"John Spitty of Horndon-on-the-Hill aged twenty one and upwards, batchelor, and Anna Curtis aged upwards of twenty years a minor, spinster, by the consent of John Curtis her natural and lawful father. Appeared personally John Spitty and John Curtis of West Thurrock consenting to the marriage :-
