Phillip Spitzer was born on 16 Jan 1777 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to parents Johann Heinrich (Henry) Spitzer and Maria Margaretha (Margaret) Schmidli. He married first Eva Holsinger on 21 Nov 1797 in Long Meadows, Virginia. Children: David, Dorothy (Dolly), Margaret (Peggy), Hannah Jane, Joel, Noah, Phillip Jr., Abraham, Mary. He married second Magdalena Knupp Good on 10 Oct 1815 in Rockingham, Virginia. Children: John. He married third Elizabeth (Betsy) Holden on 16 Jun 1826 in Rockingham, Virginia. He died on1 5 Apr 1839 in Rockingham, Virginia.
