Cecil was born in 1919 to Lawrence Spivey Fannie Winn. [1] He had seven siblings:

  1. Edna Eunice (Spivey) Park (1917 - 1996)
  2. Ruby Blanch (Spivey) Spikes (1921-2022)
  3. Harvey Spivey (1923 - 2013)
  4. Daniel Belve Spivey (1927 - 2005)
  5. Maurice (Spivey) Novosad (abt. 1927 - 2005)
  6. Glyness Spivey (1932-1935)
  7. Ray Spivey

In 1942, he married Ouida Maude (Thomas) Spivey in Madison County, Texas. Cecil and Ouida had five children:

  1. Cecil Wayne Spivey
  2. James Ray Spivey (1948-1966)
  3. Joyce Ann (Spivey) Singletary
  4. Laura Kathryn (Spivey) Wells
  5. Charles Thomas Spivey

He passed away in 2001 and is buried in Oxford Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas. [2] [3]
