Johann Adam Spon was confirmed in 1703 at Mannweiler as son of Werner Spohn. Adam was naturalized September 1715. He was a freeholder at Cats Kill in 1763. He married Anna Maria Schmid on February 10, 1713[1] and they had ten children.
