"Rutha" Alice E. Spoon was the daughter of Robert Spoon and Elizabeth Mary Flannigan. Evidence of her actual birth date is only found on her gravestone. She passed away on 16 May 1931 in Crawford County, Arkansas. 
On 19 Aug 1888, Miss Alice Spoon age 17 and James H. Briley age 24 were married by Justice of the Peace, L. J. Matlock, Jr. in Crawford County, Arkansas. 
Alice and her husband are buried in Dripping Springs Cemetery, Dripping Springs, Crawford County, Arkansas.
