Biography
Mary was born about 1839 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
John W. Cushing, 25, a shoemaker, married Mary H. Spooner, 18, on 25 October 1857 in Massachusetts. The Rev. Josiah Moore officiated. John was the son of John and Betsey Cushing. Mary was born about 1839 in Plymouth County, MA, the daughter of Horatio N. and Jerusha Spooner. She was a resident of Plymouth city, MA. [1]
John and Mary had three children Nelson, William, and Maud.
Mary died on 1 September 1862. She is buried with her husband at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury, Massachusetts. NOTE: findagrave shows her maiden name as HOLMES. Holmes was her middle name. Her maiden name was SPOONER.[2]
