Biography
William James Spradling was born on 1 Sep 1832 in Alabama to parents Oliver Spradling and Elizabeth Woodall. He married Mary An Elizabeth Johns on 12 Jan 1852. Children: Robert Franklin, Albert F, Sarah Jane, Phebe Alice, William, David Franklin, Samuel Leland, Zula, Beulah A, Thomas Wesley. He died on 26 Apr 1900 in Calhoun, Mississippi.
William served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War as a Private in Company D, 31st Mississippi Infantry.
