On the 26 April 1868 in Auglaise Co. Ohio, he married Amanda Carolyne Richie, They resided in Duchouquet, Auglaize, Ohio He died 30 Jun 1919 in Allen County, Ohio and is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, Auglaize, Ohio
