1730. The towns of Smithfield, Scituate and Glocester were set off from Providence.
1746-7, Jan. The town of Cumberland was set off.
1748. He was a citizen of Highway District No. 11.
1764, May. Executor of his father's will proved this date.
1780. Capt. Hezekiah Sprague was a member of a committee to hire 1,750 silver dollars on their personal security in connection with the enlistment of 35 more men. [Note: Given rank of Capt but as he was in his 70s, he was probably not active duty.]
1782, Aug. Cited to appear before Gen. Assembly to give information in regard to a deserter.
1785, May. Collector of taxes at Smithfield.
