Biography
Jean Marion Spring (married name Tom) was born in 1922 in Romsey, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Ellie Hamilton (Buchanan) Spring and Jim Spring.[1][2][3]
She married William Ernest Tom in 1946 in Victoria.[4][5] Their children were:[2]
- Marion Elizabeth Tom (1947–2017)
- Helen Tom
- Alison Tom
- Phyllis Tom
- Bill Tom
William died in January 1982.[6]
Jean was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in January 1993.[3]
Jean died on 28 May 2017, aged 94 years.[2]

Daughter of Jim and Ellie Spring of Romsey (both dec.). Loved wife of Willie (dec.). Loving mother of Marion, Helen, Alison, Phyllis and Bill. Mother-in-law of Howard, Val and Jen. Loved grandmother of Christine, Alistair, Alexis, Leila, Toly, Megan, Will, Lachie and David and great grandmother of Alice, Lachie, Zara, Bodhi, Lenny and Marley.
