He married Martha Saxon on 4 November 1815 in Amcotts, Lincolnshire, England.^[3] Their children were:

• Elizabeth Spring (1815?–?)^[4]
• James Spring (1819?–?)^[5]
• Harriet Spring (1822?–1825)^[6]
• Mary Anne Spring (1830?–?)^[2]
• Harriet Spring (1833?–?)^[2]

At the time of the 1851 England Census, William was living in Belton, Yorkshire,Yorkshire (West Riding) with his family.^[2]

Research notes

Not to be confused with William Spring (1794?–?), also lived in Lincolnshire and also married a woman named Martha. I am convinced they are different people because they have separate entries in the 1841 and 1851 censuses.
