Floyd Leo Spring was born on 5 June 1898 in Gilmore, Michigan, United States, the son of Katie Spring and Bradford Spring.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}

Floyd died on 23 January 1940.^[6] His remains were interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.^[6]
