Biography

Cornet Andrew Sproule was born in Ireland, his birth date is a guess.^[1] He was the son of Robert Spreull (of Golan, Dromore) & Jean Deniston^[2][1], although it is possible that he is their grandson.^[3] He resided at Greenan, Dromore.^[4] His wife's name is unknown to WikiTree. He had at least seven sons and probably some daughters.^[1] These children included: Andrew,^[5] James, ^[5] Joseph Spreull of Curraghmulkan (5th son),^[1][6] Charles (6th son),^[1][6] and Oliver (7th son).^[1][6] He is probably buried with Robert and Jean at Castlederg, County Tyrone.^[2]

The connection to Robert and Jean as Cornet Andrew's parents is being made despite the fact that this is not definitive.
