Biography

Sarah was born on the 21st of October 1760 [1] at Guilford Township, New Haven, Connecticut Colony. Her parents were James Sprout and Sarah Smith. She married Joseph Spencer on the 13th of September 1781 [2] at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the mother of four children: James, Jesse, Ann and Samuel. She passed away on the 30th of July 1849 [3] at Philadelphia and was buried in Laurel Cemetery. [4]
