Biography

Joanna Spruill was born about 1720 in Tyrrell, North Carolina, daughter of Joseph Spruill (~1694–~1760) and Mary Unknown (~1710–~1764).

Her siblings were:

Joanna (25) married John Chesson (25) (born in Tyrrell, Province of North Carolina; son of James Chesson and Anne (Garrett) Chesson) on 27 September 1746 in Tyrrell.[1] [2] [3] Their children were:

Joanna died after 1 October 1766 in Tyrrell, aged 45.
