"Joannes Ludovicus Romanus Spruyt was born in Ghent, East Flanders, Belgium on November 18, 1776. His wife, Coleta Catherina Neckebroeck, was born on October 20, 1781, also in Ghent. After marrying, they lived in Doorzeele where they both died, he on December 14, 1822 at the age of 46, and his wife, 42 years later, at the age of 83, on August 2, 1864. Joannes and Coleta Spruyt had at least two children:
Edward Charles Gabriel, born September 30, 1807.
Josephine, birthdate unknown.
Nothing more is known about Edward Spruyt, but Josephine married Bernard De La Sorte in Belgium."
