My father is Thomas Charles Spry.His mother was Alice Spry, daughter of William Thomas Spry (1841-1933) and Emaline Florence Matilda Donnelly.The Spry family came to Australia from Cornwall in 1848.The Spry family ancestors hail from North Devon where they were potters. My mother is Catherine Mary Bellert.Her parents were both of German descent.Her father was Herman Richard Frederick Bellert of Maryborough, Queensland. His parents were John Christian Bellert and Ottilie Wilhelmine Marchinke. My grandmother was Catherine Elizabeth Cronau.Her parents were George Conau and Elizabeth Catherine Born. My great grandfather, George Cronau migrated to Australia from Ernsthausen, Germany in 1863.His parents were Christian Cronau and Anna Gertrude Sommer.
