Biography

Ephraim was born in 1780. He was the son of Ephraim Squier and Priscilla Sibley. He passed away in 1860.

The son of David Squire (1743-1821) and Mary Bunker, (1747-1812), Ephraim was born in Connecticut in 1780. His siblings included:

  1. Thomas William (1816-1888)
  2. Hiram Goodrich Davis (-1893)
  3. George (1820-)
  4. Smith Weller (1820-1902)
  5. Eunice Anna (1824-1912)
  6. Ephraim Marion (1829-1908)

He served as a Sergeant with Lt. Col. Willcock's Detachment (Canadians), U.S. Volunteers, in the War of 1812.[1] After the war, he migrated to Genesee County, New York and bought land there[2]. He married Sarah Wilcoxson , marrying around 1815.[3][4] The family later went west, settling in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.[5] He passed away there at the age of 80 and is buried at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.[6]

Research Notes

I've included Sarah Wilcoxson/Wilcox in the profile but there is a strong possibility that his wife was actually Sarah Davis,

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ephraim by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ephraim:

Squire-1726 and Squier-446 appear to represent the same person because: Father is Squier. Same find a grave on both profiles.
