Edward Fredrick Squires was born on September 24, 1867 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of John Paternoster Squires (1820–1901) and Eleanor Favour Cox (1847–1916).
In 1880, Edward (12), was a single son, Attending School, in the household of John Squires (59) in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory, United States. [1]
Edward (27) married Josephine E Von Detlefson (20) (born about January 1, 1874) on September 25, 1894 in San Francisco, California.
Edward (32) married Janet Melvina McNeill (22) (born on September 19, 1877 in American Fork, UT; daughter of John McNeill and Charlotte (Spencer) McNeill) on September 27, 1899 in Salt Lake City. Their children were:

Edward Frederick Squires was born September 24, 1867 the first child of John Paternoster & Eleanor Favor Cox Squires. He was a barber like his father and most of his brothers and half brothers. He had 9 siblings, Eleanor Cora, Samuel Cox, Benjamin Cox, John Carlos Cox, Rachel Cox, Alma Cox, Thomas Cox, Eliza Cox,, & Jesse Cox Squires. He married Janet McNeill September 27th, 1899 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had 6 children, Melva, Anna, Boyd, Jack, Laddie (Radcliff), and Shirley. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet on 12/27/1940. Freddie loved to walk everywhere he went and was in excellent physical condition until the end of his life.
