Daughter of Estienne de Saint-Père and of Noémy Couteau, Jeanne was baptised on 5 February 1627 in Saint-Jean-d'Angély (St-Jean-Baptiste) in Saintonge (Charente-Maritime).[1][2]
Jeanne and her sister Catherine arrived in the colony either in 1647 or 1648. Their mother arrived there in 1647 and married in October, traveling back to France with her new husband right after the marriage, returning the following year. The girls traveled during one of those years, no document reveals which.[3]
Marriage
Pierre Guillet dit Lajeunesse and Jeanne St-Père married at an unknown date and place. The various authors estimate that the marriage took place in or before 1649, probably in Trois-Rivières.[3][4]
11 known children from the marriage, 9 of which are known to marry.[5][4] (listed above)

Jeanne St-Père, wife of Pierre Guillet dit La Jeunesse, made her testament on 16 February 1669 before notary Jacques de La Tousche.[17] Jeanne was sick in bed, but of sound mind per what the notary saw.[19]
Death
According to Jetté, she died before November 18th 1669 in Cap-de-la-Madeleine[4]. No act mentionning her has been identified for this date. She did her testament on 16 February 1669, the inventory of the community goods is done on December 1st 1670. She thus died between these dates, probably in 1669 in Cap-de-la-Madeleine.

There is no evidence found that she actually used the name Delaunay, she certainly is not so named on anything related to her children. The source cited for this appellation is Tanguay who was in error. The error stems from the simple fact that her husband remarried with Madeleine Delaunay/De Launay, and the 2 got confused together.[21]
