European Aristocracy
George St John was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Eldest son and heir, St John was educated at Eton and served in the House of Commons as an MP. He became notorious for his messy personal life. While a married man, he had an incestuous liaison with his own half-sister, Mary Day Beauclerk, which produced four sons. He and his sister and their family lived in France and Germany until St John met a teenaged Belgian noblewoman named Isabella Hompesch. He left Mary and their children and convinced Isabella to marry him bigamously. They then left for the United States, where he settled along with at least one of his sons by Mary. His legal wife, Charlotte, died in 1803 at which point he legally married Isabella.
