There is some confusion about the identity of her mother. While most sources give Ellen F. McGovern, her death certificate gives "Ellen Quigley" who was born in Cambridge, MA, not in NB.

There is a problem with her birth date. The 1900 MA Census gives her age as 19, and her birth date as November 1881.

According to the 1910 MA Census, she was 29 years old, and had had three children, two of which were living. Her parents were born in Vermont and "Can. English," respectively. She spoke English, and could read and write. Her given age yields a birth date of 1880-1881.

According to the 1920 MA Census, she was 38 years old, yielding a birthdate of 1881-1882.

Mary died at home, 31 Magnolia Street in Arlington, of hypertensive heart disease. She had lived at that address for 14 years. She was a housewife, and lacked a Social Security Number. The informant was "Mrs. Herman Erhardt, Jr." of 33 Magnolia St., which suggests that she had a son named Herman (her husband is identified as "Herman Erhardt, Sr.").
