William and Eliza’s son, William Henry Waterhouse Stacey was born in Tadcaster in 1863. He graduated from The College of Physicians, Edinburgh in 1884 and a year later married Marie Louise Dimmock in Ely, Cambridge. Marie Louise’s father was James Augustus Dimmock, Manager of Fosters Bank in Ely. Marie Louise’s brother, Henry Peers Dimmock became a distinguished Doctor in Hyderabad, India. William Henry’s sister Charlotte married Colin Brewster in Tadcaster. Their eldest son (and William Henry’s nephew) Arthur Brewster married Marie Louise’s older sister Clara Dimmock in Ely, in 1901. Did William Stacey meet Henry Dimmock when they were both studying medicine? Did William Stacey then introduce his nephew Arthur Brewster to his wife’s sister Clara? Clara’s father was a bank manager and Arthur Brewster was a bank clerk. In those days introductions were important and people stayed within their own "class".
