Clyde moved to Puerto Rico in or prior to 1930, and in 1931 married Maria Luisa Carlo. Their 1940 census entry indicates that (by then) they had two children, "Carl Louis Stacy Carlo" b. 1932, and "Claudette Marie Stacy Carlo," b. 1935.
In 1963, Clyde published a paper in a scientific journal entitled: CYCLICAL MEASURES: SOME TIDAL ASPECTS CONCERNING EQUINOCTIAL YEARS.
The Encyclopedia of Climatology. John E. Oliver and Rhodes W. Fairbridge, Eds. (In Encyclopedia of Earth Sciences Series, Volume XI) includes a 5 page article by Clyde M. Stacey entitled "Earth Motion," which was described/reviewed by Arnold Court (an Emeritus Professor of Climatology at California State University, Northridge) as follows: "This is a very tedious discussion of minor gravitational effects from the sun, the moon, and the planets on the earth's motions, which results in small variations in earth-moon distance and consequent variations in day length, and similar effects."
