I see that you have the list of all the Stackhouse siblings. I have a picture of several of them and have connected with some of the distant relatives still in French Lick, Indiana. If you are on FB or share your email address, I can send you that picture.

As for Mary, to fill in your info on her: She married a Civil War soldier, my great-great grandfather, Thomas Wright, and they had several children, including my great-grandfather William Francis Wright. Mary Jane Stackhouse1,4,6,9,11,19 was born on July 24, 1842 in Orange, Indiana, United States. Clint Toliver noted that the Stackhouse family Bible states that Mary Jane was not Hugh's child. She was born only 7 months after Hugh and Sarah married, so this could be true, but it is also possible that she was just premature.

She appeared in the census in 1850 in Northwest Township, Orange County, Indiana, United States. She appeared in the census in 1860 in Orangeville Township, Orange County, Indiana, United States. It lists Mary (18) living with Henry Broken, just a few doors from her parents. She appeared in the census in 1870 in Orangeville Township, Orange, Indiana, United States. She appeared in the census in 1880 in Patoka Township, Crawford, Indiana, United States.

She died Unknown. An 1898 affidavit by daughter Etta in Thomas' Civil War pension file indicates that Mary died in 1885 or 1886, presumably in Crawford County, IN. An addition to the Lost River DAR transcription of Higgins Cemetery, Orange County, IN, indicates she is buried there.

Mary Jane Stackhouse and Levi H. White were married on July 5, 1856 in Orange, Indiana, United States (book C-4, page 120). Levi H. White1,4 was born Unknown. He died before 1860 in Orange, Indiana, United States. This is based on the fact that he doesn't appear in the 1860 census and Mary remarried in 1860.

Mary Jane Stackhouse and Thomas Wright were married on July 24, 1860 in Orange, Indiana, United States (book C-4, page 362). Thomas Wright1,4,6,19 was born about 1833 in Ohio, United States. The 1870 census indicates a birth date of about 1843, but the 1880 census and his pension records indicate 1833. He served in the military from 1861 to 1865 in the American Civil War. He was a private in Company K, 53rd Indiana Volunteer Infantry. He was wounded at Big Hatchie, MS in October 1862. He came home on furlough in the Spring of 1864 after re-enlisting. During this furlough, he and Mary conceived their first child, William, who was born Jan. 25, 1865 while Thomas was marching through Georgia and South Carolina with General Sherman. He mustered out on July 21, 1865. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Orangeville Township, Orange, Indiana, United States. It lists Thomas (27), Mary (27), William (6), Sarapeta (4), Fannie (2) and Emily (2/12). He appeared in the census in 1880 in Patoka Township, Crawford, Indiana, United States. It lists Thomas (47), Mary (38), William (15), Sarah (14), Fannie (13), Emily (10), Henry (8) and Etta (5). He died on March 23, 1890 at the age of 57 in Dubois, Indiana, United States. This is based ono daughter Etta's pension affidavit.

Thomas Wright and Mary Jane Stackhouse had the following children:

97 i. William Francis Wright, born January 25, 1865. 98 ii. Sarapeta "Sarah" Wright, born about 1866. 99 iii. Fannie Wright, born February 7, 1867. 100 iv. Emma Wright, born March 7, 1870. 101 v. Henry Wright, born about 1872.. 102 vi. Etta Wright, born December 8, 1876. 103 vii. Margaret Alice Wright, born after 1880..
