Biography

Robert's parents lived in Ballifield, now part of Sheffield, Yorkshire.^[1] He was baptised on 20 July 1614.^[2]

Robert married someone with the last name Sweetapple, whose family were of London.^[2] He himself moved to London by 1671.^[2] He had four children:

• Ann, born 7 July 1654,^[2] married Thomas Aldam in 1671^[2][1]
• John, born 20 August 1656^[2]
• Mary, who married, first, John Killam in 1672, and then Francis Smith of Balby, Yorkshire^[2][1]
• Elizabeth, who died young^[2]
• Lydia, who died young^[2]
