Biography

Robert's parents lived in Ballifield, now part of Sheffield, Yorkshire.[1] He was baptised on 20 July 1614.[2]

Robert married someone with the last name Sweetapple, whose family were of London.[2] He himself moved to London by 1671.[2] He had four children:

  • Ann, born 7 July 1654,[2] married Thomas Aldam in 1671[2][1]
  • John, born 20 August 1656[2]
  • Mary, who married, first, John Killam in 1672, and then Francis Smith of Balby, Yorkshire[2][1]
  • Elizabeth, who died young[2]
  • Lydia, who died young[2]
