Amos married Mary Burlingame, daughter of Roger Burlingame of Stonington, Connecticut.[4] Mary and Amos had are said to have had thirteen children, however, there are only records for seven: Mary, Samuel, Mercy, Amos, Stukely, Patience and Freelove.

His will is dated 24 March 1753 and proved on 20 October 1760 in Warwick, Rhode Island.... To wife Mary a negroe named "London" ...[7]
