Martha, born in 1827, was the daughter of Enoch Stafford, a farmer, and his wife Mary Ann Kelley.[1][2] She married William Hall in 1852.[3] In 1881 they lived on their farm in Townsend, Norfolk, Ontario, with four sons: Enoch, James, William and Oscar.[4]
