M Dixon comments: In 1854 Elizabeth travelled to USA on the ship 'DeWitt Clinton' to join her husband in Steuben County, New York, with their three youngest children. Her six year old son Charles died en route. The family name in Ireland was Coote. It is unknown why it changed to Coots upon arrival in USA. NB marriage date of 1839 which was imported with the biography below was incorrect, they were married prior to 1839 so this has been amended. Also added other children.
