Jane was Josiah's second wife who he married in Guilford Co., North Carolina and moved her and their five children to Greene Co., Missouri in the spring of 1835. She divorced him June 23, 1852. She is buried in the Leeper Cemetery, southwest of Walnut Grove, Greene Co., Missouri. On our trip in June , 1997, we tried to find the cemetery, but it was so isolated from any road that we couldn't find it. It is recorded that she was born 25 Oct. 1805 and died 2 JUL. 1876. An inscription read "Our Mother's Grave" on her tomb-stone. She had eight children all together.
