Biography

Lydia Mahala Stafford, daughter of Barton Stafford and Abigail Butts, was born at Manchester, Ontario Co., New York, 9 July 1839. She died at Munden, Republic Co., Kansas, 31 August 1898, and was buried at the Ida Cemetery, Munden, Republic Co., Kansas.

Lydia married Charles Calvin Payne, son of Calvin Payne and Persis Parmalee, at New York, in 1858.
