Permelia Stallings married John P Phillips 20 Jan 1810 in Logan Co, Kentucky. 8 children.

Permelia and John Phillips divorced.

1830 census of Clay County, Illinois, page 98, lists Permelia head of household of seven persons.

Permelia's children sold their mothers land to Roswell DeFur & Richard W Reeves.

Permelia married Thomas Levitt 3 Aug 1833 in Clay County, Illinois and they had two male children: Eldredge and Lorenzo Dow.

. . . John P. Phillips and Permelia STALLINGS, married January 20, 1810 in Logan Co, KY, thereafter making their home in Posey Co, IN. Permelia Stallings (c. 1792-1839) was the daughter of Wright Stallings (1760-1836) and Polly WESTRAY (c. 1765-1823) of Franklin Co, NC who moved to Chatham Co, NC in 1800 and settled next door to John P. Phillips. Polly's parents, Benjamin WESTRAY and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth SAWYER Westray, had moved from Franklin Co, NC to Chatham Co, NC about 1798, along with Elizabeth's son, John Sawyer. Benjamin Westray died in Chatham Co 1817 naming his daughter, Polly "Stallion" in his will.
