Biography

Son of Robert Standish and Jane Benn. Born in 1806 in Queens County (now Laois), Ireland. Baptisted in Offerlane Parish, Queen's County on July 27 1808. Moved with his family to Lower Canada in 1818. Farmer at Rougemont, Quebec. Died unmarried in 1901 at age 94 in Rougemont, Quebec. He is buried in St Thomas Churchyard there. [1][2]
