Maldanetta was sister of Elizara "Ella" Standlee who married in to the Stutsman family. From the research of Hugh Keen, we learn the following:

Ella Stutsman’s sister, Maldanetta Standlee Kelly, who’s family was living in Tulsa, Indian Territory, by 1902 and Dan Stutsman’s older brother, Ambrose T. Stutsman, who had recently visited the town by that time, both talked to Dan and Ella Stutsman about “how nice it was in “Tulsey” and how they should go look for themselves and consider moving there.” About September 1, 1902 pursuant to their recommendations, Dan Stutsman took the newly extended St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad from Crowell, Texas to Oklahoma City, then to Tulsa. He liked the area so well that he wrote back to his family in Foard County, Texas instructing them to sell all their property and take the train to Tulsa to join him.215
