Biography

Alexander known as "Little Alex was born in 1826 to Martin and Katherine Rose Meeks Standridge. He married Eliza Ann Meek in 1857, and had children Rhoda, Matilda Jane, Eliza Jane, Martha, Catherine, Mary and Lucy. After the death of his first wife Eliza he married Eliza Jones Standridge in 1865. He has children Emily (Tennessee), and Tabitha. After the death of his second wife he marries Sarah Jane Yates in 1877, and has Arwine. Alexander passed away in 1902. He is buried in Ben Hur, Newton, Arkansas.

Research Notes

Alexander was first married to Eliza Ann Meek. She is the mother of Alexander's children Rhoda, Catherine, Matilda Jane, Eliza, Martha, Mary and Lucy. Wife Eliza dies after the birth of Lucy. Alexander then marries Eliza Jones Standridge (the widow of Martin Standridge) 11 Oct 1865. Daughters' Emily and Tabitha are born. His second wife Eliza dies and he then marries Sarah (Jane) Yates in 18 Aug 1877. Son Arewine is born.

Standridge-176 and Standridge-131 appear to represent the same person because: same father (merges proposed) same dates

Standridge-148 and Standridge-131 appear to represent the same person because: Enough different that I didn't catch it on my search before creating Standridge-148. This became clear when I did find a match for his father. I hate when that happens!
