Some background on this profile: It was imported to Wikitree in 2011 without any sources, along with profiles for Thomas Stanfield-46 and Ephraim Stanfield-42. At that time a Wikitree contributor made Thomas Stanfield-47 the father of Robert-36, Thomas-46, and Ephraim-42. In Sep 2021 I found a last will of Thomas-47 that did not name any of these three. Thomas-47's will named his children as Betty and Marmaduke only. A Stanfield of Thomas-47's generation, Robert Stanfield-40, had a documented son named Robert. Various Wikitree users have judged that Robert-40 also had sons named Thomas and Ephraim, though there is no documentation for those two like there is for Robert Jr. I then changed the parents of Robert-36, Thomas-46, and Ephraim-42 from Thomas-47 and his wife Mary to Robert-40 and his wife Frances. I initiated a merge for all three with Robert Senior's presumed sons Robert-508, Thomas-41, and Ephraim-1098. The merge was rejected, probably because the claimed years of birth and death do not match. I understand that decision, and defer to others on how to handle the three unsourced profiles.
