↑ Source: #S14 Page: page 9 Data: Text: CORA DRAKE DIES HERE CONT CONT Rites for Resident Of Tiffin, 75, to Be Tuesday Afternoon CONT CONT Mrs. Cora Eva Drake, 75, of Tiffin, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday at Mercy hospital following an illness of several months. CONT CONT Mrs. Drake was born December 23, 1872, on a farm in Cambden township, Ohio, the daughter of John and Sarah Reynolds Stanfield. Her death is the first to occur among 12 children in the family. CONT CONT She grew up in the Ohio community and was married at Liverpool, Ohio, in 1898, to Alvin Drake. The couple established a farm home in Clear Creek township of Johnson county. Six years ago they retired and moved to Tiffin. CONT CONT Mrs. Drake was a member of the Christian church. Surviving her are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Biggs, Los Angeles, Calif.: four sisters, Mrs. Alla Reynolds, Iowa City; Mrs. Bertha McCreedy, Mrs. Mina Brill and Mrs. Eleanor Grundy, all of Oberlin, Ohio, seven brothers, Ed and Claude, both of Coralville, Arthur of Tiffin, Clayton and Orie, both of Oberlin, Ohio, Earl, Lorraine, Ohio, and Claire, Los Angeles, Calif. CONT CONT Funeral servies will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Oathout funeral chapel, with the Rev. G.M. Ludwig officiating. Burial will be at the Tiffin cemetery. Date: Monday 19 Apr 1948
