Roger E. Stanford, 77, of Clay City, died September 3, 2005, at Flora Healthcare Center.
Mr. Stanford was born December 16, 1927 in Clay County, the son of Albert and Ethel Cross Stanford. He married Barbara Wiley May 2, 1951.
He was a self-employed retired mechanic, a member of Zif Baptist church and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Perry, Roger Dale, and Don Stanford; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services were held at Neal Funeral Home with burial in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville.
