Biography
Second son of Stephen and (unknown) Stanley. Born in Cassville, New York in 1800 and married Maria Burchard in 1829. Maria was born in Cassville, New York in 1804 and died in Menosha, Wisc. in July 1854 of cholera. Miles died of consumption in Saratoga Springs, NY on 5 January 1848. Maria (Burchard) and Miles Stanley had three children: James H. Stanley (b. in Cassville on 2 April 1836 and was married to (unknown) 23 August 1862 in Beetown, Wisc.); Sarah M. Stanley (b. 22 July 1840, married 1st, John McKillop in 1862 at Menosha, Wisc. and 2nd W. H. Flusky of Kenosha, Wisc.) and Nancy Leonora Stanley, b. 12 May 1844 in Ridge Mills, NY; married in Beetown, Wisc. in 1867 to Eldredge Ishmael, Nancy died on 22 February 1880). Miles Stanley is identified as Stanley #493 in the reference below. [1]
