Flora was born in 1880[1]. She is the daughter of John Stanley and Priscilla Pelley.
On September 16, 1896, Flora (age 17), sailed on the S. S. Olivette, from Halifax, Nova Scotia and arrived at the Port of Boston, on September 17, 1896, with ___ Stanley (age 35), her brother Gilbert Stanley (age 7), her brother George Stanley (age 9), her brother Harold Stanley (age 11), her brother Warren Stanley (age 1 1/2) and her sister Mary (age 4)[2].
She married George Strong on Jun 25, 1911 at Boston, Massachusetts. [3]
In 1920 Florence P. (age 40 - born in Canada, father/mother born in Canada), lived at 7 Spaulding Street, in the town of Dorchester, city of Boston, with her husband William G. (age 39 - born in Canada, father/mother born in Canada and worked as a butcher), her father-in-law Archibald Strong (age 67 - born in Canada and widowed) and her brother James A. Stanley[4][5].
William and Flora were living at Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts when they were listed on the 1940 census.[6]
