EX-STUDENT COUPLE WED AT PANHANDLE
Miss Myrtle McGowen, of Washburn, was married Saturday evening to G. L. Stanley, of Dalhart. The ceremony was quietly solemnized in Panhandle at the parsonage of the Methodist Church.
The bride has been teaching the past year at Washburn. She attended the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the Fanchon-Marco School of Dramatic Art and Dancing in Hollywood. She also attended W. T. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Alma McGowen of Washburn.
Mr. Stanley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Stanley, Skellytown, was educated at the Amarillo Junior College and W. T. He is business manager of the Dalhart Texan.
Mr. Stanley is active in Young Democrat circles in West Texas.
