Ichabod Stan(d)ley was born March 22, 1735/6 in Attleborough, Massachusetts. He was a son of John Stanley and Hannah Freeman Stanley.
He moved to Weston, Massachusetts, at some time before 7 January 1762, when Ichabod Stanley married Submit Warren of Weston in that town, after the publication on 7 November 1761 of the couple's intentions to marry. The family moved to Princeton, Massachusetts, around 1767. On 14 February 1768 Ichabod Stanly and Submit his wife were dismissed from their church memberships in Weston and recommended to the church in "Princetown."
Ichabod and Submit Stan(d)ley are recorded as the parents of three daughters. Daughter Lucretia was born in Weston and daughters Sophia and Sally were born in Princeton.
Ichabod Standley of Princeton, Massachusetts, died before 9 March 1778 when a committee was appointed to take inventory of his estate, to be shown to them by Submit Standley, Ichabod's widow and administratrix for the estate.
