I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

I would like to remain active, but do not wish to commit additional activities. I have been very active in adding Rev. War info to profiles, but I wish to do things as whim takes me.

Hi Jennifer

I have update some of the source material on both of the Mary Larrabee pages.

I appears to me as if someone has taken the information of Mary Larrabee of Wells, Maine and grafted her information into the Larrabee Family of Scarborough, Maine.

Please Note: Other than there is a child Mary of Stephen and Hannah [McKenney] Larrabee, there appears to be little or no information about her birth, death or any marriage. You need sources for your statements.

Hi Adrian,

I am in process of adding ancestors to my family tree, and I see a discrepancy in information that I have discovered in Wikitree for the parents of my great-great-great grandmother, Mary 'Polly' Larrabee, born 1778 in Wells, Maine, and died 5/20/1825 in Cornish, Maine. I have her parents listed as Stephen Larrabee, born 11/3/1738 in Scarborough, Maine, died about 1810 in Scarborough. I have his wife listed as Hannah McKenney, born 5/5/1739 in Scarborough, and died 3/30/1832. This differs from what you have listed, which is Jesse Larrabee, and Lydia Wakefield. My information is based on family information that has been passed down to my father (an Allen), and his family. It has also been corroborated by numerous DNA/family matches that I have on Ancestry. Is there any way to correct this information? Thank you!

Hi Adrian. Thank you for the great work you've been doing on our Whitten ancestors!

Adrian, I edited the information on the merge page, but I am new to this.

There are two William Babbidge's who were born in Maine about the same year. William S. Babbidge married Susan L. Warren. ' William J. Babbidge married Susan W. York. William J. Babbidge died in Rushville, Nebraska and supposedly buried there<ref>Memorial ID 129490881</ref>. His wife Susan York is buried in Scotland, South Dakota<ref>Memorial ID 112318190</ref>. William J. left Maine on March 18, 1866 and moved to various towns in Michigan. This information is taken from his pension request from the National Archives (I have a copy but no electronic link). William J. moved to Dakota Territory in 1874 according to Census and Hutchinson County Biographies .

Hi Adrian! I updated Elizabeth (Giles) Tibbetts' biography and added a section to discuss her parentage with sources showing why her parents couldn't have been Mark and Lydia. Could you take a look at it when you get a chance so we can get her connected to the correct parents? Thanks!

Hi, Adrian!

Thank you so much for responding to our check-in. We are delighted that you wish to continue contributing to the Military and War Project. Below is a quick checklist for active members. The project leaders would like you to make sure you have done the following:

1) Checked the Project Page for ways to contribute.

2) Added MILITARY_AND_WAR to the tags you follow.

3) PMed the Project Coordinator with your email address to be added to the Google Group.

4) Bookmarked the Activity Feed to monitor the project watchlist.

Thank you!

Hello, Adrian,

On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.

First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.

Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, in a general sense how you may have contributed to the main project or any sub-projects within the last couple months.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Adrian, with your Barbour/Barber line so close to you, I wonder if you have any knowledge of one of my brick walls? Any idea who this one's family might be: Elizabeth/Betsy Barber of Bucksport, Maine. Just wondering if she's in your personal database. Cheers 8th cousin of mine :)

I have the same information for Mary (Swett) Linscott (abt. 1769 - aft. 1805). I do believe it is correct, but I also have not been able to find enough sources to back it up. Thank you for sending the information.

Thanks for adding the marriage record for

Sarah (Linscott) Johnson (1799 - 1875). That is her correct marriage record. I have been lax at filling in vital information on several pages. Thanks again. Deborah Mahle

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

Thanks for the thanks. It's nice to know I was helpful. I'm always glad to help open up a dead end or brick wall if I can.. Not everyone responds good, bad or, indifferent. Happy sourcing day :-)
