Royal Ancestry, by Douglas Richardson, Vol, II, page 278 states: "Margaret Zouche, married (as his second wife), Robert Sheffield, Knt., of Butterwick, Lincolnshire...
They had three sons, Thomas, Edmund, Knt., [1st Lord Sheffield], and David, and one daughter Eleanor... Robert married (1st) before c.1515, Joan (or Jane Stanley)...They had no issue."
Also, https://our-royal-titled-noble-and-commoner-ancestors.com/p461.htm#i13843, states: "Sir Robert Sheffield was born circa 1485 at of Butterwick, Lincolnshire, England. He married Joan (Jane) Stanley, daughter of Sir George Stanley, Lord Strange, Constable of Pontefract, Knaresborough, & Wicklow Castles and Joan Strange, before 1515; No issue. Sir Robert Sheffield married Margaret Zouche, daughter of John Zouche, Esq. and Eleanor St. John, circa 1520; They had 3 sons (Thomas; Sir Edmund, 1st Lord Sheffield; & David) & 1 daughter (Eleanor, wife of Thomas Watton, Esq.) Sir Robert Sheffield died on 15 November 1531 at of Butterwick, Lincolnshire, England."
According to these sources, Joan (Jane) Sheffield, formerly Stanley, is not the mother of Edmund Sheffield [Sheffield-1066]. Instead, his mother is Margaret (Zouche) Cavendish [Zouche-183].
