I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky. I went to elementary school at Johns Creek and went to high school at Belfry, Ky. There, I met the love of my life, Lois Kaye Pinson. We were married in 1970 and moved to Northern Ohio. We've now been married for 49 years and have 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

My name is Teresa Eaton and I have been trying to locate the parents of my great great grandfather, and I think it is Joseph P Stanley. I was wondering if you could help me with a few things?
If you are adding any DNA test info to profiles on WikiTree, please be sure to add the tests to the actual test participant's profile, and that the Privacy is set to show the participant's Family Tree tab.
Hi Darrell, Welcome to WikiTree!. I see that youve entered confirmed with DNA for the relationship between Richard Staton-119 and his father. But his profile only displays one person on WikiTree who has taken a DNA test. Would you please explain on his profile how you used DNA to confirm that relationship. Here is an explanation of how to do that: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DNA_Confirmation

Also, have you done anymore research on the STAYTON - WILLIAMS connection?
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Just for fun, come and join in on our Question of the Week: Do you know how, why, or after whom; your birth name was chosen?
Happy researching!

I now live in Northern Ohio. I retired in 2006, after 33 years service at Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, Ohio.
A warm welcome to WikiTree, a genealogy site different than any other! You should have received an email from us with helpful links to get started.
Our goal is to have one single profile per person so that we have ONE big family tree and we collaborate together to make that happen.
Each volunteer at WikiTree adds to the collaborative tree at their own pace, there are no minimum requirements for time or entry.
When you volunteer, you indicate your interests by adding tags and comments and then one of our Greeters will confirm your membership.
Please check out our question of the week: Do you know how, why, or after whom; your birth name was chosen?
Welcome to the family!
