He was the son of Frederick Arthur Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby and Lady Constance Villiers.[1]He was born on the 4th of April 1865.[1]at St. James Westminster, London, England.[2]He married the Lady Alice Maude Olivia Montagu, daughter of Luise Friederike Auguste Gräfin von Alten and William Drogo Montagu, 7th Duke of Manchester on the 5th of January 1889[1]at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.[3]He died on the 4th of February 1948 at the age of 82[1]at Prescot, Lancashire, England.[4]
