William Stanley lived in Virginia.

William Green Stanley was born 18 June 1848[1], in Virginia, to Samuel Stanley (born in Virginia) and Betsy Levil (name as it appears and born in Virginia)[2].


On July 21, 1870, William G. Stanley (age 22), married Nancy B. Philpott (age 20), in Henry County, Virginia[3][4][5]

On January 7, 1872, William and Nancy gave birth to their daughter Roxie Jane Stanley, in Philpott, Franklin County, Virginia[6].

In 1880, William G. (age 31 - worked as a farmer), lived in Brown Hill, Franklin County, Virginia, with his wife Nancy B. (age 29 - worked at keeping house), their son James E. (age 9 - born in Virginia), their daughter Roxanne (age 8 - born in Virginia), their daughter Almer H. (age 4 - born in Virginia), their daughter Nannie M. (age 3 - born in Virginia), their son Samuel H. (age 2 - born in Virginia) and their daughter Mary R. (age 1/12 - born in the month of April, in Virginia)[7].

On March 19, 1884, William and Nancy gave birth to their son John Albert Stanley, in Virginia[8].

William Green Stanley (age 81 years, 1 day old and worked as a farmer), died (cause not clear on death certificate but says - Doctor was not with him), 19 June 1929, in Walkers Creek, Giles County, Virginia and was buried on June 20, 1929, in Shannon-King Cemetery, in Poplar Hills, Giles County, Virginia[1][9].
