He was the son of Edward George Villiers Stanley, 17th Earl of Derby and Lady Alice Maude Olivia Montagu.[1]He was born on the 9th of July 1894,[1]citing Birth Registration, Marylebone, London, England.[2]He married the Hon. Sibyl Louise Beatrix Cadogan, daughter of Henry Arthur Cadogan, Viscount Chelsea and the Hon. Mildred Cecilia Harriet Sturt, on 17 July 1917,[1]at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.[3]He died on the 16th of October 1938 at the age of 44,[1]at Marylebone, London, England.[4][5]
